An Ebute-Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos yesterday remanded at the Special Correctional Centre for Boys, Oregun, Ikeja, a 13-year-old boy (name withheld) who allegedly stabbed a man to death in a market. Adedayo made the order following a remand application by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Yaba, Lagos. The court heard that the offence contravened Section 222 and was punishable under Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Mrs. Adedayo granted Uwadione’s application and remanded the minor at the Correctional Centre. She directed the police to transfer the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice and adjourned till February 26.
